Miles of Roadway Improved
Manager, Geotechnical:

Jennifer Trimble

The Project

RK&K was responsible for the preparation of construction documents, including geotechnical engineering reports (GERs), addressing improvements to approximately 6.5 miles of I-95 and the MD 43 interchange.

Geotechnical design elements included; roadway subgrade, flexible pavement design, retaining walls, multi-span bridges, stormwater management facilities, utility tunnels, and protection of a 108-inch water main.

“This is one of my favorite projects because of the collaborative environment and teamwork across disciplines at RK&K. The variety of geotechnical work was jam packed - bridges, retaining walls staged construction, ground improvements, etc..”

Jennifer Trimble, Manager, Geotechnical
