The Project

RK&K’s Natural Resource Biologists are utilizing Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) technology to study shoreline erosion in the Currituck Sound. Survey grade accurate ortho-mosaic imagery is collected from UAS and analyzed for shoreline erosion and potential locations to install living shorelines.

“This project was technically challenging to achieve the accuracy standard requested by the client. We were able to achieve success by conducting UAS operations off the boats stationed in the Currituck Sound.”
