The Central Pennsylvania Engineers Week Council (CPEWC) named Project Engineer Hannah Landvater, PE the 2023 Young Engineer of the Year during their celebrations.
Landvater was praised for her successful traffic analysis and modeling work for various clients including the Pennsylvania and Maryland Departments of Transportation and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
“I am honored to be receiving this award – I am passionate about the work I do at RK&K and my involvement in professional societies and the community, and I am happy we get a chance to celebrate that every year during Engineer’s Week,” said Landvater.
Project Engineer Hannah Landvater, PE was honored as the 2023 Young Engineer of the Year by the Central Pennsylvania Engineers Week Council.
The award, which CPEWC presented to her on Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day, recognizes young engineers who are making a difference by serving as role models for the next generation of the industry, something Landvater is proud to be a part of.
“From a younger perspective, I think it’s especially important to remember the role that mentors have for the next generation of engineers. I’ve been lucky to have many through the years, and without them I wouldn’t have had the opportunities and experiences that I have had to date both at RK&K and beyond.”
Landvater is also an active member of both the Mid-Atlantic Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar. In the past, she has served as the co-chair for the 2021 Annual Meeting and the representative on the Pennsylvania Automated Vehicle Summit planning committee.
“Since her first day at RK&K, Hannah has demonstrated the perfect balance of engineering excellence, professional society engagement, and community involvement.
