Bill Snyder, of the Charlotte, NC office, has been promoted to Director, Energy & Corrosion. Bill has more than 25 years experience in pipeline engineering and design, inspection, corrosion control, and management in the petroleum and utilities industry.
Bill joined RK&K in June 2003 as a project engineer on the 20-mile Wilson Southern Loop steel pipeline project in Wilson, NC. Since that time, he has served as project manager on numerous energy projects including the Defense Logistics Agency Installation Level Review, which assessed petroleum facilities at more than 400 military installations worldwide.
Bill also supported corrosion projects for multiple domestic energy companies, including cathodic protection and alternating current interference mitigation on the 600+ mile Atlantic Coast Pipeline for Dominion Energy.
Among Bill’s current projects, is the Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) assessment project for several NiSource companies in VA, PA, MD, OH and IN.
In 2018, Bill became the leader of the Energy & Corrosion group, responsible for staffing and resource management of the group. Bill is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a BS in Environmental Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in multiple states and registered by NACE International as a cathodic protection technologist (CP-3).
Bill lives in Concord, NC with his wife Cindy and sons, Justin and Jared.
