The City of Wilmington’s South Wilmington Wetland Park project took home a Government Award from the Water Resources Association (WRA) of the Delaware River Basin during the WRA’s recent 38th Annual Recognition Dinner.
RK&K was involved with this project since 2007, actively supporting the City with planning, permitting, design, and construction inspection.
During their acceptance speech, the City of Wilmington recognized RK&K, noting our team’s dedication and commitment that helped make this complicated project a reality. South Wilmington Wetland Park is a transformative project aimed at reducing flooding, increasing storm resilience, and providing pedestrian connectivity in an underserved community by restoring natural wetland systems.
WRA is a nonprofit, non-partisan advocacy, and public information organization with a mission to promote sound water resources management within the Delaware River Basin.
