The Delaware Department of Transportation’s Senator Margaret Rose Henry Bridge recently earned recognition with an America’s Transportation Award in the northeast region.
RK&K served as engineer of record on the 470-foot multi-modal bridge that crosses the Christina River and connects the east and west side of riverfront.
The bridge earned the “Operations Excellence” award for a medium-sized project, being recognized as delivering a more reliable, well-functioning, and safer transportation system through operational solutions.
Sponsored by American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, American Automobile Association, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the America’s Transportation Awards program “highlights just a few of the projects and programs across the country that had a positive impact on our communities’ quality of life during an otherwise uncertain time.”
