Maryland ASLA Awards Honor Three RK&K Projects

Three RK&K projects earned awards at the annual Maryland ASLA Awards, which recognize significant landscape architectural projects.

Three RK&K projects were recognized at the Annual American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) – Maryland Chapter Awards.

 

Traveling Award of Innovative Excellence

North County Regional Park

As consultant for North County Regional Park project in Caroline County, RK&K provided civil engineering, natural resource inventories, and transportation planning services for LSG Landscape Architecture.

Honor Awards

Rock Creek East One Livability Study

For the District Department of Transportation, RK&K served as the prime consultant on a multi-disciplinary team of engineering firms to conduct the Rock Creek East One Livability Study, a, neighborhood mobility study aimed at enhancing community quality of life through improvements to transportation safety and connections to destinations for all modes.

Rash Field Redevelopment

RK&K’s Site Development team was involved in the Rash Field Redevelopment project as consultant for all civil/site-related design needs, handling design and coordination of the wall foundation, roof slab and green roof foundation of a proposed pavilion building.

ASLA’s yearly awards program encourages professional excellence in Maryland and the Washington, DC area by recognizing significant completed, as well as unbuilt, landscape architectural projects.
