The Project
Since contract award in April of 2017, RK&K has completed six cultural resource investigations on behalf of WVDOH. For each project, RK&K coordinated with the client and agency officials to develop a scope of work and budget that tailored cultural resource services to meet project-specific needs.
These projects were multi-faceted, involved a range of cultural resource types, and required technical expertise from a variety of disciplines—archaeologists, architectural historians, geomorphologists, GIS analysts, and engineers.
Multiple projects were managed simultaneously and RK&K responded to changing project needs through close coordination with WVDOH and the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office (WV SHPO).
