SITES is used by landscape architects, designers, engineers, planners, ecologists, architects, developers, policy-makers and others to align land development and management with innovative sustainable design.
Innovative Sustainable Design
The Sustainable Sites Initiative released a sustainability-focused framework to help protect the environment by embracing each site and creating functional, regenerative landscapes. It is applicable to project sites such as open spaces, streetscapes and plazas, commercial, residential, and educational/ institutional projects over 2,000 sf. Buildings can be part of the site but are not included in the rating.
Credits and Points: There are 18 prerequisites, 2000 points of credits, and 10 categories that can achieve 4 levels of certification.

Registration Fee: $2,500-$3,500
Verification Fee: $6,500-$9,000 (pending size and complexity of project; does not include design and documentation costs)
