RK&K joined city leaders at the ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the $16 million Rash Field Park improvement project at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore.
RK&K, as sub to Mahan Rykiel Associates, has been involved in this project since 2015, performing a rough demolition cost estimate for Waterfront Partnership. With this, the firm acted as a designated subconsultant proposing the improvements to the Park in a beginning effort to develop the Inner Harbor 2.0 master plan.
The ceremony celebrated the completion of the project’s first phase, which included improvements to 2.5 acres on the south shore of the Inner Harbor and amenities like a new skate park, playground, and running tracks. During the event, Mayor Brandon Scott noted, “Ensuring access to high-quality facilities, like Rash Field Park, is a crucial way to show our investment in our youth and our communities.” The park serves as a safe and central place for Baltimore families providing recreation and education while also leading the Inner Harbor’s redevelopment efforts.
