The WTS Central Pennsylvania Chapter recently honored RK&K’s Women’s Leadership Forum (RWLF) its Rosa Parks Diversity Award. The Rosa Parks Diversity Leadership Award celebrates individuals or organizations that make significant contributions promoting diversity, inclusion, and multi-cultural awareness within their organization, the transportation industry, or in a project or activity that supports the goals and mission of WTS.
RWLF was formed in 2015 to support, advocate, and promote the skill sets of every woman who works at RK&K while providing a forum for communication and professional development. It also aims to provide engineering opportunities to students to foster industry growth. Recognizing the group cannot truly succeed unless they help others to succeed, the group encourages employees to get involved in community activities such as WTS’ Transportation YOU, Junior Achievement, and student mentoring.
The RWLF has stayed true to this mission, creating several high-level learning opportunities such as interactive seminars, firm-wide International Women’s Day celebrations, and empowering guest speakers and events, while cultivating a receptive environment for women.
