The Project
This $33 million project consisted of construction of the “missing link” of NW 87th Ave between NW 74th St. to NW 103rd St. including new construction from NW 93rd St. to NW 96th St. and a new bridge across the Miami Canal.
The scope for this project included earthwork, drainage installation, structural and friction asphalt, at-grade crossing of the FEC railroad including the jack and bore and microtunneling of two watermains and one drainage line underneath the railroad, subaqueous installation of a watermain across the Miami Canal, steel sheet pile bulkhead wall, resurfacing of South River Dr. and Okeechobee Rd., construction of a new signalized intersection at NW 87th Ave and Okeechobee Road, ADA pedestrian ramps and sidewalks, new signals and street lights.
